Colehour Bondera seeks your support to represent the Hawai’i County District 6 from South Kona to Ka’u:
Hawai’i Island can have:
Our ‘Aina, the land can support true food security and sovereignty for our population in these uncertain times. Local food and water access is peace of mind. With family supporting jobs based on a local economy, not only dependent on tourism, families will be less dependent on the food bank and unemployment when global pandemics and economic ups & downs impact our island. Every action we take should include thought about our climate, sustainable energy, and regenerating the land from this point forward.
I will serve on the County Council, listen to the people, and take action on:
Reliable public transportation
Family supporting jobs
Improved local schools
The housing market is squeezing people out of rentals into their vans. We need homes for our residents before tourists. Our bus system needs to be frequent and our bus fleet electric. Hourly wages are not enough, families need health insurance and stability to be able to raise their children. We need strong, local businesses as employers, not only off-island corporations. Ocean View and Miloli’i need charter elementary schools.
Through progressive politics, and by hearing community members, my hope is that everyone will be best represented – your support (vote) will help our community thrive.
